Ocean View Estate — Exterior & Interior Completion

Samya was brought in after the previous contractor had been released from the project, with a substantial amount of work still incomplete and a number of installation deficiencies to resolve.
The scope included correcting improperly installed doors and windows, supplying and installing additional units, and completing the associated interior and exterior finishing. Much of the work involved high-end finish carpentry, including stain-grade vertical-grain fir window and door jambs. Using that material on the exterior gave the house a distinctive West Coast character and required careful fitting and finishing.
One of the more difficult installations was a roughly ten-foot-wide sliding patio door on the upper level. Access from the rear of the property was extremely limited, so specialized lifting equipment was brought in to position the large steel, aluminum and glass assembly safely into place. Other sliding doors and exterior openings required similar coordination.

Inside, the work extended beyond the windows and doors. The polished concrete floor on the lower level was refinished, which required removing and reinstalling trim and replacing portions with new high-quality baseboards. Additional drywall and plaster repairs were completed, along with built-in storage, a new laundry area, a mudroom and a whole-house water filtration system.
The project was ultimately about taking over a difficult, unfinished renovation, identifying where previous work had fallen short and carrying the remaining construction and finishing through properly.
